Hey Everyone!
Hey Everyone!
This is Leigh from Zuri & Zori. Welcome to our site!
Joe and I have been friends for well over 15 years at this point. We share so many interests and are looking to share them with you. Our name originates from ancient meanings which stands for Rock. Strength. Healing. We both love art and photography, music, enjoying and being in the outdoors, archeology and ancient places, science, natural products and healthy foods - just for starters. Our prints and photography are our own. The store looks to provide quality American made and sourced products as much as possible with preference for those made in Pennsylvania.
How we got here ~
Joe started calling me Zuri as a way to differentiate between old numbers and new, knowing the meaning. I’ve been painting and making mixed media works for years and enjoyed night photography. Almost daily I take pictures of the sunrise and sunsets. They both often include hidden gems if you look closely. Joe came up with the idea to get the artwork out there and find a way to sell the prints. Unbeknownst to me at the time, he’s an amazing photographer too! His history of videography and stills really shine through.
We decided to sell the prints in frames and Joe found an American based company we could partner with for branded frames. We learned how to print our own prints and after many trials found highly rated American based paper that worked well with our prints. Joe learned about being acid free! Our first combined album is “Days Gone By” a tribute to antiques or tried and true subjects that are still with us today.
After becoming an LLC and setting up our online store, we invested time to find out what products we think people would like but personally like ourselves too. All the products in our store we find interesting, some we personally would use, and share with family & friends. Seriously, we want one of everything to keep for ourselves. Both of us love the Alpaca socks and t-shirts, Joe loves the tumbler and mug, I’m really enjoying the mini-tote and other things. We are constantly updating products and adding to the artworks available. Facebook is where you are likely to see prints before they hit the store, so follow us there too.
Until next time,
Leigh
